Below you will find some of my most frequently asked questions (FAQs) when it comes to booking me as your wedding photographer.
What is required to book our wedding day?
When you’re ready, we can set up a date to catch up over a coffee or wine and chat all things wedding! I will ask you questions about your day and put together a wedding contract based on our conversation. If you’re outside of Auckland we can arrange to catch up via Zoom. frequently asked questions
Your wedding date is secured with a signed wedding contract and a paid booking fee. This is a non-refundable 25% fee based on your chosen wedding package. This fee is to secure your wedding date with me.
Once I receive your signed wedding contract and your booking fee, I am confirmed as your wedding photographer! Hurrah!
When is the remaining balance due?
Your remaining balance is due two weeks before your wedding day. The date will be written in your contract and I will send you an invoice one month before payment is due. How many photos can we expect to receive?
Your wedding day is a unique event, therefore each wedding will receive a different amount of photos. The number of photos you will receive depends on a number of factors. How many hours I am covering, if you have a second photographer, and how your wedding story unfolds. You will be provided with the best images from your day with a selection of colour and black and white.
Will all the photos we receive be edited?
Each image will be carefully chosen, edited in my style, and provided with you in mind. I take pride in every photo I deliver therefore each and every photo is edited individually. For this reason, I do not provide RAW images and I only provide those images I know you will be happy to receive. Wedding frequently asked questions
How long after our wedding day can we expect our photos?
I understand you will want to see your photos as soon as possible. I love re-living your day, and watching your story unfold on my screen so I understand you will be eager to see your photos!
I will provide you with a selection of sneak peek images within 24 hours of your wedding day. The remainder of your images will be available to download from your private online gallery approximately eight weeks after your wedding day.
To ensure a consistent and high standard of delivery, I do all the post-production of your photos myself and should there be any delays I will be in touch to let you know as soon as I can.
Do you offer printing?
Yes, I absolutely offer professional printing and can provide you will more details should you wish to discuss prints, albums or artwork for your home.
Do you travel for weddings?
Heck yes! I am always keen for a new adventure! My travel costs outside of Auckland will depend on your location and whether I will also need to book accommodation. Please get in touch for a no-obligation chat and I can provide you with further details around these costs.
What are your travel costs?
If you’re getting married in Auckland, my travel fees are included in your wedding photography package. In the unlikely event that I need to book accommodation, these fees will be discussed with you at the time of booking.
What if my wedding date changes?
I understand that your wedding date may change due to reasons outside of your control. If your wedding date changes and I am available for that new date then I will happily transfer your booking fee to your new date at no extra charge.
What if you’re not available on my date?
Should I be unavailable I will offer to transfer your booking to my associate photographer. This means they will shoot your wedding day on my behalf. You will still have your wedding contract through Sarah Denison Photography, and you will still receive all your wedding photos with my editing. If you decide to choose a different photographer, the booking fee will remain non-refundable.
Please note, if your new date is in the next wedding season, there may be changes to the original wedding package fee and a new wedding contract will need to be signed to confirm your new date.
