I love weddings. There’s just something about watching two people in love commit themselves to each other that makes my heart melt.

In November I was privileged to capture the wedding of Olga and Dayne. Their celebration took place on a hot and humid day at home in Auckland.

You could tell from the moment I arrived that a lot of thought and attention to detail had been put in for this special day. The grounds looked immaculate, and there was a buzz of activity as family members from home and overseas put the final touches to the beautiful set up.

Naturally, I met with a very nervous groom before the bride and her bridal party arrived back from their hair and make up appointment. It wasn’t long before guests started to arrive, at which point we knew it was time to get ready for the ceremony.

Olga looked sensational in her gown, and watching the reaction of her friends and family as she glided down the red carpet was magical. The ceremony was officiated by a close friend, and once the formalities were out of the way it was time for the guests to relax whilst the bride and groom escaped for their formal portraits. Luckily the beautiful location meant we didn’t need to go far, as we took a short walk down to the bottom of the grounds to take some group and couple shots.

Congratulations again Olga and Dayne, it was a pleasure to be your wedding photographer and I wish you all the happiness in the world as man and wife. A special thank you also to Ryan for being my second shooter on the day.
